So now that the MSM thinks they have a dogfight on their hands, |
|
because the fake polls say so, do you think they'll spread the negative focus towards McCain, too, or do you think they are out to destroy Obama altogether??
During the primaries I recall whoever was ahead got the bulk of the bad press.

2. That's only because they were all Democrats... |

It will be full-court press against Barak from here on in. (Just like it was anti-Gore and anti-Kerry)

5. The closer the race the more attention the media draws... |

You have to admit this election is one hell of a story.
The MSN has to prop up McCain to make the climax interesting.

6. Three partially conflicting threads going on here . . . |
|
1) The MSM wants a tight contest, otherwise it gets dull. A rout on election day is OK -- a rout 95 days out means the MSM spends buckets of money on a contest that's already decided.
2) The press will always turn on candidates who are smarter and more charismatic than them because of the High School/Lord of the Flies Syndrome that drives their tiny little lives. McCain is marginally better at simulating self-deprecation than Obama, so the press will always give him a (hall) pass first.
3) The owners of the media outlets want Obama rubbed out. They control editorial policy many ways, both subtle and overt, but you can bet that every employee knows what the boss wants the outcome of the election to be.
