What I think will come from the energy policy protest at the House |
|
So the Republicans are sticking around (lots of TV coverage) asking for Nancy Pelosi to order congress back into session to discuss energy policy, McCain is on record (more TV coverage) asking for the same. Don't think that this will not be turned into a new TV spot along the likes of:
"Republicans and McCain want to do something about energy but the Democrats and Barack Obama decided to go on vacation instead. Blah, blah something about leadership in a time of crisis"
So what if the president isn't ordering Congress back into session, W is not up for reelection and this might be a way to keep the appearance of distance from McCain. Hope that I'm wrong but why else for all these high profile actions right around the time when Obama lays out his energy policy?

2. You test drivin' that lead balloon? |

I'm thinking more in terms of "Republicans aren't interested in doing solving our energy crisis and have only one answer for the nation--drilling."
People aren't stupid.
