26. Doesn't matter. I'm not bitter about Clintons strategy. I'm just rationally telling you that......
she can't be VP. I mean can't be. Even if Obama wanted her, her own choice to go scorched earth was an all or nothing gamble that failed. Obama can't pick her as VP because her comments against him were so excessive that McCain now has and endless supply of ready made ads with Clinton totally trashing the nominee AND saying that McCain is more qualified to be president than Obama is....over and over.....

SHE DID IT TO HERSELF.

I think it would have been GREAT if Obama/Clinton could have been the ticket....but her own choices ruined that chance.

If you simply say "She can't be the VP"... you are an irrational Hillary hater.

so what is she trying to say? That Bill violated the law and shared info w/her that she was prohibited by law from having?
Or that she's just as qualified as Nancy Reagan or Laura Bush is for the same experience?

You posted a YouTube video portraying it as a "McCain Ad."

Then you said, it was just the name of the video.

Yet the whole premise of your OP was that THIS was the reason you would oppose Sen. Clinton as VP.

Then I asked if you knew it wasn't a real McCain ad. You said yes, but it is the name of the YouTube vid.

Therefore....Any YouTube vid is fair game, right?

19. No. It's not about letting go, or being vindictive. She removed her own chance for VP
when she chose to risk an all-or-nothing gamble for the nomination. You can't be VP after stooping to the point where you say the eventual nominee is unqualified and incompetent to lead.... but oh suddenly now I'm proud to be on the ticket.

Right.

This isn't about personal vindictiveness - this is about you can't pick a VP where your opponent has ready made ads with YOUR VP Candidate trashing you, AND saying that your opponent is more ready to lead than you are.

That was a crossed line, she has noone to blame but herself for shooting herself in the foot when it comes to VP.

And the fact that the nominee has not and will not choose Sen. Clinton as VP is not logically indicative of turning his back on anyone, not you, not me.

Allow me to educate you. Sen. Clinton ran a very strong campaign. Good for her. We expect our candidates to do so.

She is not running an equally strong campaign for VP. She doesn't want it. And that is why she will not be chosen.

...not one that hurts him. I wish Hillary wouldn't have adopted an all-or-nothing approach in the primaries. I think an Obama/Clinton ticket might have been a good thing. But she did. And that's the ball game.

I've made the same observation three or four different places, and no one has any counter for the truth that Clinton's own words now prevent her from being the VP. All McCain would do is play her saying McCain's ready to be president and Obama isn't over and over and over again.

Geez... OP after OP after OP touting Hillary for VP is just fine and dandy.... but having a counterargument is "divisive"?

Is that true for the posts saying Kaine would be a bad choice? Or Bayh? Or Biden?

Is it ONLY "divisive" when someone says Hillary would be a bad choice?

This thread shows what the GOP will use if/when Hillary is the VP nominee. It's a valid point, and there is no implied "hatred" at all... except in your mind.

40. Thank you ---
Every other thread i in this forum is about HC running as Obama's Veep.

I post this video with the words that come
'STRAIGHT OUT OF HER OWN MOUTH".
and I'm told to 'Shut Up", 'It's all about you",
blah blah, etc.

Wow.

Tell bill the primaries over so he can quit his whining on National TV.

17. The McCain peep creeps are playing HRC's Playbook on steroids...
The Primaries always do that shit.

So why not play Romney and all the other GOP creeps dissing McGaffe... there's plenty of stuff there.

23. Ironically, her being VP would be the best inoculation against such ads
See Reagan/Bush and Kennedy/Johnson for historical examples of the phenomenon.

But the OP is really about YOU, not about whether one person or another would be a good VP choice.

34. Too bad she didn't bring a lifetime of experience using good judgment
Of all the dumb things said in the Democratic presidential primaries over the decades, those comments had to the dumbest. If she wanted the VP nod, she sure picked a stupid way to go about it.

She killed any hope of a unity ticket when she did that.

78. Well actually I heard Bill Clinton say some nice things about Obama today
wish you could have been there...he sounded sane, wasn't grabbing his crotch or anything, no foaming at the mouth and so, I believed him. He was in Rowanda working with his foundation to help Blacks in that country with HIV. His only complaint was with the media. 'Course all they've ever done is report the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

As liars go, I think if I have to choose, I'll take Clinton over the media any day.
