Johnny loves nuclear power
Never mind that the COST of nuclear power has been a bigger barrier to building plant than have those "environmental extremists" McCain and his pals like to blame.

Hey, McCain, where do I get a car that runs on nuclear power?

John McCain will visit a nuclear power plant in Michigan to promote the need for more nuclear energy. Stay with WWJ for complete coverage.

The Republican presidential candidate plans to tour Detroit Edison's Fermi 2 nuclear power plant Tuesday afternoon. The DTE Energy Co.-owned plant is in Monroe County's Frenchtown Township, about 30 miles south-southwest of Detroit.

McCain is making the trip to highlight his support for adding more nuclear power plants to decrease the nation's dependence on foreign oil.

His visit comes as DTE has proposes building another nuclear plant -- Fermi 3 -- in the same general area.
