Elevator speech re: The "drill plan"
This is my elevator speech on what I an calling the "McCain drill plan":

That it is time for McCain to admit that his "drill" plan is not a solution -- or even a significant part of the solution. It turns out that the amount of oil we could get from offshore drilling just isn't that much. And much of what we get would be sold to Europe or China.

OPTIONAL: I never said "don't drill." But we should do it carefully (remember Santa Barbara in 1969? If not, look it up) and we should be realistic about the impact it will have -- mainly symbolic and psychological.

1. excellent
I like the idea of elevator speeches. Simply enough to take the wind out of their sails and get them wondering. Perhaps enough to get them to check some of the "facts" they get from Faux Noise.
