http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/08/new_mccain_ad_hes_the_original.php

apparently he side steps blaming Bush but blames Washington instead. He says system is broken and he knows it.

Obama spokesperson Bill Burton responds:

"Senator McCain wants Americans to forget that during the Republican primary, he said that Americans were better off than we were eight years ago, and that he thinks we've made 'great progress economically.' He wants us to forget that he's fully embraced the Bush policies he once opposed, and bragged about supporting those policies 'more than 90 percent of time.' The truth is, being a maverick isn't practicing the same kind of politics we have seen from Washington for decades, it isn't having a campaign run by Washington lobbyists, and it's certainly not promoting the same policies that have led America down the wrong path these past eight years."

4. Almost sad to see this brain-addled old douchebag get led around
by handlers who put words in his mouth. He has no idea what he said even just yesterday, I'm sure. He forgets questions as soon as they're asked. He can't keep his positions straight, he can't keep basic facts straight about even pet issues like Iraq and Iran. It's Weekend at Bernie's, they're just propping him up.

9. "We're better.." Who's the "We" in there? Families? Or oil stock brokers?
Who does he mean by "We?"

Some of these Haliburton owners are undoubtably better off, as are holders of oil stocks, military contracts, and any candidates who talk about off shore drilling.

I think the insider DC cronies know he's talking about the royal "we:" Those who own the companies thar are profiting from all of this corruption.

12. Discontent in Freeperville: Hate the candidate and the ad.

But they'll hold their noses and vote against Obama, anyway.

Two of them actually said they wanted us to stop beating up on big oil and big pharma. They actually feel sorry for these thieves!

Overall, a very hopeless outlook over there. It's all about Obama, but they actually don't like Gramps one bit. They're calling him a librul. One thing they don't seem to catch is his flip flopping.

I tried to post a thought and do you know that they approve each post, one at a time? Nothing goes on there without the thought police approving it. How do you call yourself free, when every post is edited?
