Skinner, the DU needs an avatar with a photo of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Edited on Tue Aug-05-08 01:49 PM by David Zephyr
I was surprised to see that there is no avatar of Barack and Hillary together and maybe that's symptomatic of some of the lingering, yet diminishing divisions here.

A picture is worth a thousand words and even those who don't want her as VP should be grateful that she is hitting the road all around the nation on her own to register voters and pump up enthusiasm for Obama.

She lost the closest primary contest in history, went the full 50 states, and yet has reconciled her loss with great grace and class and is proving what a team player she is.

Can someone generate an avatar of Barack and Hillary together? I like this photo, but I'm not stuck on it. Perhaps someone has a better one. I'm too technically challenged to upload one. Can anyone help here?

For unity's sake, it's a good idea. A picture of unity would be worth a thousand words. I think it would be helpful.

It's something just missing here, not by design, but probably as a bi-product of the primary friction. Who'd have ever had an avatar of them together then? I'd sure like one now.

25. I want one of Barack and Kucinich.
As much as I love Obama,
Dennis will always be the winner in my eyes.

I hope the two of them talk and do some good stuff together.

This is a good image of party unity, and your comment doesn't help but continue the strife.

16. I don't see why you would want that
a picture of Hillary wagging her finger would do nothing to support unity.

The OP was constructive and positive.

18. You're right.
I'm just extremely pissed off about Bill Clinton. But I guess I shouldn't take it out on Hillary.

20. Ask RainDog to make it into an avatar.
IIRC, he was responsible for doing a boatload a while back. Then you could save it to your computer and upload it yourself.

23. Good idea!
The wounds here are deep and an avatar might help us come together a little. I don't post here much, but read every day for my news. Leading up to the Veep announcement it is painful to find so many ripping apart both Clintons. I voted for Hillary, but when her candidacy began to fade I read Obama's books and fell totally in love with him.

Today I went to freeper land to read what they are talking about. It is clear that they are pushing the meme about the Clintons not fully endorsing Obama. They are downright gleeful over there in suggesting that Hillary is sabotaging Obama and the Clintons hate Obama. They believe our party is going to rip itself apart over this and our convention will be a disaster.

Like many here have shared, I believe that Hillary would be the best choice for Veep.I am not going to suggest that there are not problems with her on the ticket, but I can't deny the sheer power of it. I am picturing a packed convention of screaming, euphoric, energized delegates. It would be hard for the puke media to distort or ignore this. Our unified party will be unstoppable and a shining example of the way that Obama can bring people and ideas together with his leadership.
