I want a tire guage with Obama's name on it
and I'll gladly take one from the RNC if they want to give it to me, how cool would that be? I don't see how that's a bad thing, I bet people would really dig having one.

34. My thought too. Exactly.
The best kinda campaign material--it hits 'em where it hurts, and nobody is gonna throw away something inherently useful.

6. It would be too funny if the "Obama Energy Plan"
... pressure gauges were actually used to check tires. Somehow, it would be the perfect act of resistance.

30. That's the WHOLE point. What you do either enslaves you or sets you Free.
Paulo Freire http://www.infed.org/thinkers/et-freir.htm referred to this as Praxis (i.e. constant application of principles in everyday behavior).

And if Freire is too foreign for some, this concept, praxis, was also the basis of the work of the great American educator John Dewey. http://dewey.pragmatism.org/

Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 08:50 AM by SemiCharmedQuark
I could use a spare and seeing it will just strengthen my resolve to work for the defeat of such a stupid party.

10. Obama should send one to every donor who sends another $50.
They would become collectors items! Everyone would need an Obama gauge to be cool.

He'd raise another $50 Mil.

15. Honestly, I think he could give away 5 million of them and raise $250 Mil from it.
And they would have to be Made In America.

I wonder if the ones the GOP gave out were made in China? Probably.

besides, like Republican books in the bargain bin, you'll be able to find them in bags in a local thrift shop come December ...

16. Actually this would perfectly CO-OPT the supposed Republican message: Do it yourself.
Crash is in the position of ridiculing the very thing that their whole empire is built around. He's saying DON'T DO IT YOURSELF. LET THE GOVERNMENT DO IT - by means of CORPORATE WELFARE.

Obama should point how how McCain is in exactlly the opposite position that a "good" Re :puke: is supposed to be in.

You could order them, sell them, and donate the money, no?
