Another establishment pseudo-journalist hack trying to hatchet Obama & cuddle up to the Clintons. Screw him.

Here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26043554/ though there is still obviously some tension (especially with Bill) Hillary is working for Obama.

12. 2 commitments before the convention? |
|
I guess that's her definittion of really "working her heart out "- maybe 30% of her left ventricle?
lets see how this goes After the convention and she doesn't get the vp nom. I have a fair idea how it will go, there's history as to how 'hard' the clinton's work for other democrats when their interests are not first and foremost.

5. "Neither Clinton has a set convention role." They should have made Hillary the keynote speaker. |
|
Oh, that's right. They already did!

7. That's an Obama hit-piece designed to keep the angry Hillary supporters angry |

"Hillary got more (registered) Democratic votes in the primaries than Obama"
"Sure, Obama is cold. Sure, he can be more calculating than he appears."
"Hillary declared that she had kept her end of the dollar-for-dollar agreement with Obama, raising $500,000 for his campaign. But she complained that Obama had only raised $380,000 to help retire her debt."
************
That's a collection of the stock "angry Clintonista" talking points to me. It's another variation on the theme "Give Hillary (and Bill) what they want, or else."
So, Mr. Fineman...do you have any ideas what "cold, calculating" Obama should do to appease those "play rough but idealistic" Clintons? The answer he seems to be dancing all around is both to pay off her debt and put her on the ticket, if Obama doesn't just play the ultimate in fair and hand over the nomination.
He certainly doesn't seem to have a bias.
:eyes:
So what happened to the report that Hillary was going to give the Keynote Address on Day 2 of the convention?

He spewed lies and wouldn't retract them, in fact, seemed proud of them. Good riddance to him.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of those instances.

as is Fineman. Truth is, this isn't a pure and perfect world, particularly in the realm of politics. And it's not inhabited by perfect people. Both Obama and the Clintons have good points and bad. The point Fineman is making, and I think it's a valid one, is that we need all the political talent we have in our party to win.
If Obama is set on winning by himself, with an image fresh and new, that's risky, but I think maybe he can do it. (I thought he could when I sponsored the DU Obama Group, when I voted for him, and when I maxed-out contributions to him.) My preference, however, would be to involve the Clintons because I feel more comfortable going all out to win the big, traditionally Dem states. The electoral map will change, and this may be the election when it does -- or it may not.
In any case, I see no need to demonize Obama, the Clintons, Fineman for this piece, or the posting of the piece.
