McSurge. His Answer for Everything: SURGE! Now, Economic Surge!
JACKSON, OHIO) – John McCain called for an “economic surge” today to make American businesses more competitive in a global marketplace.

“Companies are moving overseas. We’re taxing them out of the country,” he said after a tour at a cabinet manufacturer here. “The surge has succeeded in Iraq militarily – now we need an economic surge to keep jobs here at home and create new ones.”

On Domestic Crime:

MCCAIN: And some of those tactics — you mention the war in Iraq — are like that we use in the military. You go into neighborhoods, you clamp down, you provide a secure environment for the people that live there, and you make sure that the known criminals are kept under control. And you provide them with a stable environment and then they cooperate with law enforcement, etc, etc.

On Afghanistan:

An adviser to the campaign told The New York Sun that, in a speech to be delivered in Albuquerque, N.M., the senator will call for an increase in combat troops and the creation of a special Afghanistan tsar to coordinate policy toward the country. "There will be a surge for Afghanistan. It will be moving combat troops in and applying the lessons from Iraq and the strategy that was successful in Iraq and taking that to Afghanistan," this official said.
