This is what John Harwood just said on "Race for the Whitehouse"

He added.. "Democrats are preparing to come after McCain HARD with $20 million dollars worth of brutal attack ads"

Sorry to any DU'er who doesn't like it when Obama takes the gloves off..

But I was HAPPY to hear this!!!! ~~~

4. I haven't seen any run by Obama's campaign that weren't true yet..

And knowing him, he wouldn't go there.

There's plenty enough ammo out there!

11. Doesn't need to be untrue -- but just more laser-like. More devastating.
He can do it and still be a nice guy.

12. I personally don't mind if they're untrue--often the damage is done
before the truth finally squeaks out. I want to know what happened to Vicki Iseman, the lobbyist that McCain took with him (instead of Cindy) all over the place in 2000--the mistress to McCain's previous mistress.

I love the new MoveOn.org ad that hits McSame with not being in attendance in Congress, all the while showing video of him ordering the rest of Congress to "get to work."

What an ass.

19. I just saw a brand new MoveOn ad and.............

I was too busy on here and didn't catch who it was talking..

The guy said something about how he had been supporter or something and how disgusted he was..

When I heard that.. I tried to tune in and catch the ad, but only caught the tail end of it.

So your tv froze during the ad, and I wasn't paying attention...

See how we are ..

bring a gun.

At some point, you stop being nice.

Who said "You're the bouncers, I'm the cooler."

28. Obama was just waiting until McCain through the first punch
and McCain obliged with a real trivial, under the belt, hum-dinger.

Then he waited until the chorus of "Obama need to hit back" got loud enough in the media.

And now he's "hitting back", just like the media talking heads said he should.

And they are all all on record with the fact that he never threw the first punch - McCain did.

In other words, he didn't start this fight, but he's sure enough gonna finish it.

His campaign seems to know what they are doing, don't they?

I also want McCain on the defensive on the bills he did/did not vote for and for all the votes he flat out ignored since he decided to run for President.

31. McCain has no idea what's in store for him
The Democrats are so frustrated and disenfranchised that we will eventually unleash hell on his ass. He threw a couple of haymakers, early, that did no damage to Obama. Soon, we fight back with AK-47s and bazookas and when its over, he'll have ptsd. Sorry for any DUer who wants to be civil in this election... this election is WAR.

32. war:-)
I agree. It's war, we need to win, there's too much at stake not to...And I am not talking softballs like what Clark said. I'm talking about the sort of tough questions that WE need answered if he is going to be a candidate for our president. Jesus! Why does everyone act like it's not nice to ask questions about his former wife, his new wife's tax records, his hidden war records, his ties to Gramm, the campaign money coming from the Saudis, etc. Come on-- these are legitimate questions and if, by some act of fraud, he gets into office, we would be kicking ourselves for not having the guts to ask these questions.

If this is how he expects to be treated, I guess we know he's not going to be any different from Bush-- another president who doesn't feel like he needs to be transparent or accountable to the people, so long as he passes for big oil. No thank you. I'm not taking responsibility for where we are right now or where he and his tactics have led us. That's on him. One thing about liberal thought is always thinking about reason and the other side. That's great, when both parties have the same agenda. When you're at war with someone who wants to steal your entire government and take your freedom away from you (isn't that what they said about the terrorists?), it's not helpful to play nice. it's called weakness in that case. Not every battle is the same -- try reason and diplomacy and if they're still coming for you, attack hard.
