This is not at all like 2004 or 2000. Obama is holding his own or winning the mockery game.

They take pride in being ignorant and today, the debate between McCain and McCain. Both were absolutely brilliant.

Neither Gore nor Kerry could push back like this. Obama says he's a different kind of politician but he's really more like Bill Clinton.

be sure and watch the "debate between McCain and McCain in the second link. I'd heard about it but didn't think I needed to watch it.

It is pitch perfect. Not to nasty but strong enough to start a meme.

Now, my advice, turn off Hardball (unless when Tweety comes back he's decent) and Race to the WH. Both are terrible right now.

Turn on Olbermann and Dan Abrams. They are much better. And watch Obama. He's going to pull it out.

2. The current political climate is much different than 2000 and 2004

Not to mention that we are seeing a media that no longer protects Bush and is giving Obama more media coverage than Gore and Kerry ever had. Not to mention he is getting 10 times more defense than what Gore and Kerry got. Kerry is doing for Obama what Democrats should have done for him in 2004.

edit. got the point. :)

4. you're right, Gore and Kerry would have made wonderful presidents
its the campaign style that is different, I think. Ppl here were worried about Obama not hitting back. He is hitting back just by taking the offensive, not being defensive. It becomes him.

5. Good point
Had to re-edit the last line cause it didn't fit. I agree about people worried about Obama not hitting back. He is hitting back as hard as he can. IMO, he has fully learned the lessons of 2000 and 2004. We will see more of it for sure. :hi:

6. Agreed. Obama is doing it right and proving his worth at every step. I will be more proud to vote
for him than I have for any other candidate.
