What's the deal in California?
http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Why is California now listed as "weak Kerry" in the latest poll? I thought that Kerry was up at least 18 points.

Can 'Survey USA' really be that far off that it now lists Kerry as only a 3 point favorite.

Please somebody, set my mind at ease.

3. Check out the following site

and click on CA.

You'll see a list of all polls. As you'll notice, all but maybe two or three have the state close. SUSA has messed up with the state twice now. The recent poll had more republicans than democrats.

August 3, 2004--In California, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds Senator John F. Kerry with an18-point lead over President George W. Bush, 55% to 37%

I am from California, and I find it unbelievable what the "electoral-vote" poll says...

5. This Poll Has Been Debunked On This Board Ad Nauseum
Edited on Tue Aug-24-04 08:57 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
The Survey U S A Poll "overweights" Republicans... The model assumes that there will be more Republicans than Democrats voting, 40% to 37% ,when Democrats hold a huge lead in registration....

It also assumes that Chimpy will get 28%* of the African American vote in Cali while he's getting less than 10% nationwide....

That poll is garbage....

Also, that poll uses a machine to make the calls so I suspect alot of white Bush voters say they are black to skew the results....
