Obama talks to Rice about Georgia, condemns Russia
Sen Barack Obama (D-Ill.) broke from his Hawaii vacation to discuss the clashes between Georgia and Russia with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and the Georgian president, his campaign reported.

Afterward, he issued a statement saying: "I condemn Russia’s aggressive actions and reiterate my call for an immediate ceasefire."

3. on one hand I totally agree with that sentiment
on the other I think if the putz actually tried to do what he is supposed to he would just fuck it up so much worse. It is embarrassing as HELL, but probably better that he just fucks off like usual.

Can you even think of W using the word "reiterate?" His tongue would slap his

5. There's no inconsistency.
Yesterday, when the situation was even murkier than it is now, Obama was very cautious in his first statement.

Today, as Russia's intentions are a little clearer, Obama is a bit more forceful in his second statement.

He's adapting his words as the situation unfolds, which is an intelligent thing to do.

McCain, on the other hand, with a paid lobbyist as his chief adviser, goes immediately into an aggressive mode and issues an inflammatory statement.

No contest here.
