Wyman and Ronnie divorced in 1948. Ronnie met Nancy in 1949 - from a quick search of teh Google.

EDIT ADD - From a bit more research, it looks like Ronnie may have been cheating on then girlfriend Nancy...

9. Okay
I just never heard that before.

I'm more intrigued by this bit @ NNDB where a woman named Selene Walters claims old Ronnie raped her:

7. Cheating by 'pukes is o.k. for they are else-wise sanctimonious and reichous, besides
Jesus always forgives 'pukes for their adolescent indiscretions. :P

11. Not that it matters, but I think
Nancy was the love interest in a movie she made with Ron. That may be how she met him. But--that's Hollywood.

used campaign money to pay his mistress.

12. Was he paying her with PAC money and keeping her in supporters mansions too?
Edited on Sun Aug-10-08 11:09 AM by Jake3463
It isn't the affair, its the PAC money and the cover-up.

The sex is the minor offense. John was wrong to do this and we shouldn't defend him.

It really pissed me off to hear Pat Buchanan mention all of the Dem President that cheated and made no mention to Ronnie, George or Mc Same!

19. Why is any of this relevant?
There are a lot of important issues to concern ourselves with, but Reagan's love life is not one of them.

21. Democrats haven't branded themselves the party of Family Values.
And didn't court the "Moral Majority" for votes, like Reagan did, so it points out how ingrained the hypocrisy is in the Republican Party.

obviously not a big issue with the electorate.

25. You're assuming that the Moral Majority electorate was aware of his hypocrisy.
You're naive in thinking that the Moral Majority would still have voted for him if they knew Nancy was preggers before they married.

And as we learned too late after the fact, his Alzheimer's had set-in a lot earlier than we were lead to believe, because of the protective bubble he was kept in.

These are but a few of the characteristics of a puppet leader, since most liberals are quite aware that like Shrub, Reagan was just the charismatic fundraiser and figurehead, unaware of all the backroom shenanigans being performed in his name.

26. Actually he wasn't. It was Wyman who wanted a divorce becuz RR was a bore
they divorced in 1948 or 1949 and Reagan didn't begin to see Nancy until 50 or 51 and in the meanwhile dated people like Patricia Neal and Doris Day.
