Does someone have an absolutely terrific pic of Obama
that I can download and leave on the refrigerator door of the vacation place we share with my s.i.l. and b.i.l, both Repubs. He's a lot worse than she is (she just goes along). They won't be there when we're there (and that's a mercy) but they will be there before the election.

Oh, and maybe a REALLY stupid one of the Stupid One from the Olympics. OR maybe a stupid one of McLame, the worse the better!

Too bad we won't be there for the fireworks when he sees them!

7. Was Bush drunk, stoned, or both?
What an embarrassemnt! What is the deal with that one picture where it appears some of his handlers had to catch him? Ugh.

9. Exactly. Isn't that the best? I like the montage effect too.
Just reinforces the whole ugly, disgusting, undignified mess we have as a U.S. president. And THEY voted for the guy. TWICE. They deserve this.

8. That picture with the girls is inspired! As the grandmother of 3 girls I am thrilled!
My s.i.l. has 2 granddaughters. That pic will move her, I am sure.

My s.i.l. said the b.i.l. was "in mourning" after pubs lost the Congress in 06. The guy will probably explode this year! Another reason we avoided seeing them this summer (s.i.l.is a little pissed about that).

Hubby and I can't take it. She is his sister but he just doesn't want to deal with it this year. We are both relieved that they won't be stopping in. I've wined and dined them in the past, even having lobsters flown in and serving champagne for them when they visit the vacation house (it's in Wisconsin and we live on the East Coast). They've been awful on political stuff and I just know this year it would be so bad we'd be miserable.

However, I am going to extract my pound of flesh with these photos.

13. We've found another one, but you are next on my list!
Hubby dug up a long lost pal from U. of W. Milwaukee (a good liberal) and we're entertaining him and his partner with the lobster deal. I get a discount thru a family connection with Legal Seafoods of Boston.

But you'll be next on my list if they turn us down!

15. FrenchieCat, how can I thank you! They are marvelous!
Unbelievable how these photos stack up next to McCain's! What IS the matter with Republicans? Do they just think and live "ugly"?

10. Does anyone have that picture from (I believe) his clinching speech in Minneapolis
His back is to the camera as he's being embraced by a large group of people of all different ages, races, etc...each one more joyous than the next. The clincher is the woman hugging him...she has the biggest smile on her face.

That picture never fails to inspire me.

16. Hi Fred, Hands on Obama knocks me out!
I also love the little boy in the shirt and tie looking right into his eyes.

I met MLK when I was in college.
He asked me what I wanted to be when I graduated.

I remember feeling just like that little boy. I just could not take my eyes off of MLK. His eyes were magnetic and looked directly at you, as if you were the only person in the world with him at that moment.

I replied, " I want to be a Teacher Dr. King."

He look directly at me as if he was willing it to be so and said, " Young lady, you will be a great teacher someday."

I'm not sure about the "great" part :) but I always held his words close to my heart and I know, without a doubt, that his attention to me gave me confidence to be the best that I could be in my profession.
