About L'affaire Cokie
Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 08:11 PM by BlueDogDemocratNH
Cokie says that Obama shouldn't be hanging around Hawaii, since it's somehow too exotic.

Let's take a moment to examine Cokie's hometown, shall we?

Street signs are in (GASP!) French

This is considered food

This is considered normal

This is considered sane

1. I love Nawlins!
Too bad it's Cokie's home town. But I can set that aside and still love Nawlins. :-)

3. Did Cokie become right wing tool because she's afraid the powers that
be will do to her what they did to her dad? (Hale Boggs, dissenting Warren Commission member. Cokie has even said publicly that her father was not going to reopen JFK's murder investigation if he became Speaker.)

4. Cokie from the "Entitled Side of the Tracks in NO is in League with Donna Braziller whose from
"Wrong Side of Tracks in NO's." But, Donna had all of CNN working to save her relatives...Cokie had "old Money" working to save her relatives.

BUT....in the end...both Donna and Cokie work for the same side. They just have same heritage. Rent "Gone with the Wind" to get what it's all about. :-(

6. And her brother is a lobbiest who made millions from the Saudis
and had a part in influencing the "war on terror" to get the Saudis off the hook and shift focus to Iraq. And in April of this year, she said McCain is right about Iraq and that the Americal people want to "win" in Iraq so they agree with McCain, too.

Both Cokie and her brother jumped the shark long, long ago, sad to say.

Pity. I used to like Cokie. Before I knew any better, that is.

7. Nah, her ego just loves attention
She knows she can't have the real career her dad and then mom had, so she is willing to do what she has to in order to rise to the top of ABC's pundit pool. It's ABC, so she does what she's supposed to. At NPR, she poses a little more to liberal side, although her RW talking points are getting kind of ingrained. You could sort of hear the shift as she spent more time at ABC and less at NPR - just lazily pleasing her bosses in exchange for pay and position.
