First Lady says "His knees is bald"??? |
|
>>says the first lady. "Your legs are like tires, and his is bald."<<
Um, help me out, English majors, isn't 'legs' still the subject? Shouldn't it be 'his are bald'?? Is she not a teacher? Is our children learning? Cripes she's as dumb as he are.

2. You don't have to be a teacher to have verb agreement. |
|
Sheesh, she certainly is getting sloppy. Maybe she's doing that to detract from his stupidity.

7. I hate to do this but I must, Proud Patriot. |

You should correctly say "should have," not "should of." I wouldn't normally do this but when you're correcting someone -- even the hideous second lady (Lynn Cheney is obviously the first) -- you better double-check your own grammar/word choice. Please take this in the gentle spirit I intend.

I think I've heard treads being referred to as "bald" before if they are worn down
As for the grammar, you are definitely correct. I thought she was a librarian?!

12. Have you heard him speaking lately? |
|
They both are playing to the good ol' boy base. The drawl is getting more pronounced, and the language even more dumbed down. Look for him to play the poor country boy to Kerry's Eastern elitist in the debates.
