One other thing about Clark as a possible VP--I think he helps deliver another state to us...
Arkansas.

I think Clark's presence on the ticket would make Arkansas very competitive and possibly winnable. Obviously Obama on his own has made Virginia and North Carolina competitive. It would really be nice to make a big crack in the GOP's solid south.

That said I'll support whoever is Obama's choice.

2. Clark also doesn't hold elective office, so there's
no issue with having to replace him as a senator or governor. He has excellent military credentials and he's well respected. I think he'd be an excellent choice.

4. Oh, I don't know. McDummy's up 15 freakin points there. But
I would love if he picked him.

I heard someone say something that disturbed me the other day though. Can't remember
who said it - but it was not a right-winger. They said that everyone who ever
worked for him hated him.

6. Actually Pollster.com's average is McCain up 7 and closing fast...

We could easily take Arkansas, particularly if Clark is the VP and the Clintons camp out in Appalachia.

9. Wes is very well-liked in Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas, too
I don't know how it translates in GE terms, exactly, so I don't want to overstate it, but he brings strength in those states.

11. If we have Clark and McCain picks someone pro-choice, the South is cracked wide open.

8. Eric Massa worked for Clark and loves him to this day
A lot of people who worked for Wes came out to support him in 2004. I think it's probably like any boss. There are some who do and some who don't like him. Pretty normal.

13. Interesting, as I have yet to see even ONE McCain sign
in the state. I live in Northwest Arkansas, which is the most conservative part of the state. There are still Ron Paul signs around, and I think many voters are going to vote Libertarian rather than GOP.

5. Demographics
Clark will help with key demographics, which in turn will help deliver states.

10. Clark won the Oklahoma primary in 2004 - he may not be
able to win Oklahoma but he may make the race closer so that downstream races are more likely to win.

12. Yes, I think you are right
Plus he has military and foreign policy creds. He is a face known on Faux News--I believe he was their military analyst for a while, so that means he's a face that Faux viewers know.

14. Bill could also help in Arky
Obama should send Bill to Arkansas and let him campaign there until AR turns blue.

15. I don't want to get too excited
But I love Wes Clark. I supported him in 2004 - he was my pick.

Policy aside.
Character aside.
Intelligence aside.
The talent, education, and experience that duo would bring to the table . . .

- Putting them aside because I don't want it to appear that I'm being demeaning.

But Obama and Clark both have great 'energy'. They are just 'up' people.

Forget the Audacity of Hope. It would be replaced the Audacity of Good Energy and Positive Intent.

Pssst - I also like the idea of Biden - but do we dare give up a single seat in Congress? Obama would be one. Biden would be two we'd have to win back. But again - I think Biden is good 'people' with a lot of positive intent, capability, experience.

Biden/Clark have different things they bring to the table that would go well with/complement Obama's talents/experience.
