Just Curious, What Do You Do To "Take A Break" From Campaign 2008?
I LOVE politics & current events, but even I don't do the same thing 24-7. Here's one thing I did last night:

I turn the TV to Family Guy and Everybody Loves Raymond. It's therapeutic and keeps me sane.

6. Reading and PC games for pleasure...
Cooking, babysitting, dog sitting and less gardening since the knees are getting a bit stubborn about kneeling....TV is a background noise usually.

I love mysteries. I keep up with everything coming out at:

http://www.stopyourekillingme.com/index.html

This is the best mystery book site ever.

My wonderful library lets you select books on line, they get them ready and call when they've got them all pulled...I get to select as many as 40 for 4 weeks - and all this with no kneeling or getting on benches to access books that are not eye-level..

7. I haven't paid attention to the race in a month
This is a boring, relatively pointless time period.

I'll get back into it during the conventions.

12. Watch movies, read books
In films, I like science fiction, westerns, samurai, kung fu, cheesy thrillers, and all manner of cartoons.

In books, I'm into everything, my latest subjects of interest being early U.S. history (the election of 1800 made this one look like a lovefest) and earth science. And comic books.

14. There are very few country singers on my list of people to go see.
Pretty much Dixie Chicks and Willy Nelson.

I'm way more into Neil Young. For hard rock, Tool is great. And I love Rage Against The Machine. Widespread Panic is fabulous. And there are some bluegrass bands I love. There are some now defunct bands on my IPOD: Del Amitri and Toad The Wet Sprocket, but mostly Del Amitri.

To get away from politics I listen to music and sing along. I read, watch movies, garden.

singer who's not a bushie.
