Hi. Would everyone posting in GDP please read this book and get back to me?
It's on the study of phenomenology, and it's a great read.

Okay? Thanks!

PS: I invite you to write an essay, too. For fun. :)

1. Reader's Digest versions are for idiots. Read Hegel's "Phenomenology" and actually LEARN something..
Naturally, one needs to have a pretty good idea of the methodological project thinkers before him were engaged in, culminating in Kant, but that's what makes all of the reading worthwhile.

11. I would LOVE a transcendental deduction of bewbies, followed by a socio-conceptual....
genesis of their role. I really, really would.

13. And I'd love to see Gravity's Rainbow as a series on HBO.....
but I don't think they could film it.

I'd gladly play Pig Bodine. I already have a runcible spoon.

I just finished it, thanks for the suggestion. Anything else you'd like me to breeze through?

20. Sorry, I got off on another track for a couple of hours...

It is by no means obvious that someone interested in politics and society needs to concern himself with philosophy; nor that, in particular, he has anything to learn from an obscure, misanthropic, enigmatic philosopher like Ludwig Wittgenstein, who never wrote about such topics at all. Wittgenstein's interests were philosophy itself, language, and the relationship between the two. Yet his investigations can yield insights of the most fundamental significance for social sciene or political theory. In a way, there is no shortcut to these insights or their significance.

is also quite good. Especially the first ariticle: "Wittgenstein Fetishism and Nonsense in Practice"

(now, where is my copy of Critique of Pure Reason)

I interpreted the OP as saying, "Read a book, you fucking douchebags!"

Only in a more clever way than I could. Well played, Writer. :toast:
