Just realized Joe Biden has 10 years more experience in D.C. than McLame |
|
Biden was first elected to the Senate in 1972, whereas Bomb Bomb wasn't elected to the House until 10 years later (in 1982). Yet because Biden was one of the youngest men ever elected to the Senate, he still has MORE EXPERIENCE than Bomb Bomb McCrypt.
Selecting Biden as VP would go a long way toward countering the "inexperienced" argument against our ticket.

1. Yeah but the inexperience argument isn't effective anyway |
|
polls show that about 45% of voters think Obama is too inexperienced, but most of that 45% is Republicans. Most Independents and Dems don't consider that an issue.
But your right, it does take away a line of attack for the McCain campaign.

2. I'm a Democrat and I think that Obama is inexperienced. |
|
That is my main concern with Obama. I like him but Biden will gather the Dems and Independants who are a little uneasy. We Dems will vote for Obama no matter who his running mate is. But Biden as his VP will give someone like me piece of mind, especailly on foreign policy and security and domestics.

5. Like Biden supporters were saying when he was still running for President -- |
|
We'd sleep a little better at night knowing he was in the White House.

4. McCain wouldn't be too eager to be debating Biden. |
|
Biden won't take any crap off McCain and he knows it. Obama needs a bulldog and Biden bites when he needs to. I think Biden kind of took Obama under his wing when he came on the scene, and they seem to get along well together.
I've been pulling for Biden from Day 1 and think that he would compliment Obama in many areas that need strength...foreign affairs, working Congress...he knows these characters...knows how to handle them. He doesn't hesitate to call a spade a spade and is very upset with what this administration has gotten away with. The desire is there.
The other plus is that he's never gotten involved with the social side of Washington...spent his time at home with those kids. Also, his family is great. I've had the privilege of meeting most of them and was very, very impressed.
