My Official VP Prediction...Joe Biden
I have a feeling it's Biden ladies and gentlemen of DU. I always wanted Kathleen Sebelius, but I feel there's too much pressure AGAINST her from the Powers-That-Be (see corporate MSM). The night Biden is scheduled to speak is a national security night. I think though that Bayh's staunch support for invasion and attacking Iran rules him out. That's practically opening the door for attacks and Obama is smarter than that. Biden is well respected in the Senate and can talk very well about foreign policy issues.

Obama/Biden 2008...get used to hearing it folks.

4. He would be an excellent choice on many levels,
and I think he'd be a help to the ticket.

6. Agree that Biden's well respected in the Senate
Edited on Fri Aug-15-08 07:05 PM by maui9002
But all Senators combined represent just 100 votes. I respect Biden; I think he should be considered as a valuable member of an Obama administration: SOS, National Security Advisor, or just an informal advisor to the President. But (IMHO) he's not well respected by the voters, as evidenced by his inability to garner any meaningful % of votes in the Democratic Presidential primaries. What Obama needs more than ever is someone who is "authentic" who complements the Obama message of change--and Biden is not that guy.

9. So your logic is that, if someone did not do well in the Dem primaries, not a good pick?
Who should Obama pick then, himself?

Sorry, but the universe of good VP canidates is a lot larger than the pack that ran for the Dem nomination this time around!

I would suggest you broaden your vision

10. Biden or Clark would be great!
I would be really let down if the Senator from Indiana got the nod.

13. I'll take that as a "wave"!!!
I think it really can, but I'm trying very hard not to set myself up for a big letdown. I really wish Obama would announce soon. This is exhausting!
