If you are a "True" Christian....... |
|
You have no problem confessing that Jesus Christ is your personal Savior. You walk the walk, and talk the talk! Obama WINS!

My family is sold on Obama. They love his civil service ideas, social program suggestions, and commitment to his faith. And yes, my parents are pastors of a assemblies of god church. We couldn't talk politics or religious differences for most of my adult life. For the first time, we agree not only on a candidate, but the direction he's wanting to take the country. They realize voting on single issues isn't good enough anymore, and the current state of the country is a complete disaster. We're even having political conversations in front of my younger siblings (16 & 18yo), and their friends.
The coolest thing was hearing my little brother (1/2 my age) tell his friend to log on to Rock the Vote to register so he could vote for Obama this fall :D
ETA: True Christians are not the loud mouth losers like the Focus on the Family crowd. They're the people that actually take in to consideration the works of christ, and model their life after him. Giving to others, caring for others, and loving those regardless of their differences.

7. Which is why the Christian Church and I parted ways |
|
I never considered Jesus to be divine (at least no more divine than anyone else), and never considered him to be one who could guarantee my salvation, which I feel comes from my personal actions. I have always felt that the teachings of the teacher were the key to living a fulfilling life;stressing worship of the teacher and ignoring the teachings is forgetting the message, which comes through many teachers and many paths.
