Just me? Or did it seem McCain knew the questions beforehand?
Or was it that the questions were tailor made for McCain? It was definitely two different conversations. When he asked Obama the question about adoption it put a question in my mind as to why he would ask that question...But when the same question was asked of McCain, it all made sense. The whole forum was a fake/hoax. Good thing is that most people weren't watching on a Saturday night. I, however, enjoyed seeing our thoughtful intelligent candidate answer the tough questions in a way only he can do! :)

1. He did, or else the questions were extracted directly from his stump speech.
'Cause you and I know that McCain does not do well on-the-fly. I believe he also listened to Obama's segment.

7. He answered the question on gay marriage before the guy could finish the question...
I definitely think he knew the questions beforehand...AND they were tailor-made for him. Wonder who tossed the coin???

29. Especially the one about adoption...
Warren knew he had an adopted child.

10. My husband said McCain's segment seemed more like an
extended stump speech. And to think Warren even jokingly warned Obama a couple of times about not making a stump speech. :eyes:

14. Yes...and then sat back and smiled as McCain delivered his stump speech...
Anyone who can't see through this is just not paying attention.

2. From what I saw he seemed too well prepared
I guess the questions were inevitable - Or he could give his desired responses to many of the questions. Just keep war and his pow experience in mind and make it fit. Given the forum his people could predict. Then again, someone could have leaked them to his campaign.

6. Rick Warren warned McCain that they were running out of questions
he had asked Obama.

It seemed to me that McCain made an effort to slow down after that.

I'd say the cone of silence didn't work so good.

I really hope some reporter asks him about this. I'd like to pin him down.

8. It wasn't just you.
McCain seemed to be rushing, especially in the first quarter of it, to get out his answers he had rehearsed. Then he said that weird thing about "when are you getting to the justices question?"

That was what really convinced me. He slipped up. He was given the questions in advance.

25. McCain may just have another ' YouTube problem '
;-) Time for another sequel...

"There's no question John McCain is getting a free ride from the mainstream press. But with the power of YouTube and the blogosphere, we can provide an accurate portrayal of the so-called Maverick. We can put the brakes on his free ride!

Since we first released The Real McCain a year ago, our REAL McCain series has garnered close to 2 million views, with over 13,000 comments and tens of thousands more in petition signatures! Clearly, John McCain's record is something the public wants to discuss, and yet the corporate media is doing NOTHING to present the truth. We feel obliged to continue countering the mainstream media's love of McCain. And so we thought it was high time for a sequel: The Real McCain 2."

Edited on Sat Aug-16-08 09:49 PM by madeline_con
For 2 reasons at least.

1. They must be made aware that we know it was BS.

2. So it will be discussed when the regular news cycle starts Monday.

Who would be the best bets to contact?

27. whoa... slow down
Obama mentioned how he "cheated" and researched a question during his Q&A also, the question about Human Slave trading IIRC.

It looked to me like both sides got either actual questions in advance, or at least general topics to be covered.

32. I took that a totally diffrent way.
I think that the Warren guy does work with slave trading, and may have info on his website about it.

so I took it as Obama did 'some cheating' by looking up information on Warren and came across this info.
I haven't checked out Warrens' website or blog, but I'll bet he has a section on this.
