Very interesting Solzhenitsyen quote- connected to McCain- |
|
and McCain's claim that 'evil' can be defeated.
"If only it were all so simple, if only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being, and who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"

2. that is a beautiful insight. BTW, McCain's answer about defeating evil was theologically incorrect |

3. Of course the statement is true. |

That's why Obama's answer of confronting Evil was the correct answer. The lord is the only one who can defeat evil, which he will, so it is said, during his Second Coming.
McCain is not the Second Coming.
It's in the Lord's prayer - "....lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"
