Rick Warren said today during his church service |
|
Before the election you can pray, register to vote and vote on election day. He also said that you need to look at the morals of the person running and their character. What's your thoughts?

I also noted a big difference in his interaction during the morality conversation with Obama. Particularly when Obama discussed realizing the point that he had to put his disappointments of where others failed him aside to put others first. It was a real conversation, and one that I think Warren really believed came from Obama's heart.
McCain on the otherhand rushed right through it, and wasn't sincere through any of it.

It really was outrageous for him to say he had McCain sequestered somewhere when he must have known he wasn't even in the building. Or he has the world's worst staff.

32. I am very familiar with Saddleback Church |
|
My sister has been a member of the congregation since they met in a tent. I was baptized there. There is NO way Rick Warren did NOT know that McCrazy was not there yet and not in the freaking 'cone of silence.' I'm willing to bet he had the questions weeks ago...this is sad but not surprising.

33. Morals & character? Keating 5 Adulterer who is 8 times richer than his own definition of rich? |
|
Didn't he say rich meant $5 million net worth? So he is EIGHT TIMES richer than that, with his $40 million net worth. And his wife is TWENTY TIMES richer than his definition of rich.
Does that build character or show they are favored by The Good Lord?
Character -- does serial adultery build character? Does it make him more approachable because he, too, has been a sinner many times?

...and now all the MSM are treating him like he's the country's leading preacher.
I guess they don't want to focus too much on McCain's other preacher buddies, like Dobson, Parsely, and others.

I'm in Atlanta and the court house killings that happen the book was at the center of conversation. It was totally positive but now I have my doubts about Rick Warren. Very disappointing for me.

25. I think people like Warren are hypocritical snake oil salesmen/business men only. |
|
I suspect that the vast majority of these types are NON Believers, just adept at working the fear and bible system of ripping people off for their own benefit. If they truly believed, they would not behave as they do.

he still lives in a modest home, is giving proceeds from his book to other charities, and has been paying back his salary to the church. Not many big church leaders would do this.

It has the potential to do good, but has been hijacked into other things...all through history. Spirituality - yes. Being part of the herd - no thanks!
