The MOST conclusive evidence McStain cheated: Education question |
|
The most obvious slip that showed McStain cheated was when he gave answers to the education questions before they were even asked.
Let's first look at the education questions originally posed to Obama while McStain was supposed to be in the "cone of silence":
WARREN: 80 percent of Americans recently polled said they believe in merit pay. Now, for teachers, do you -- I'm not asking do you think all teachers should get a raise. Do you think better teachers should be paid better? They should be paid more than poor teachers?
OBAMA: I think that we should ...
When it was McStain's turn, he interrupted Warren before he was even able to ask the questions on education:
WARREN: Let's talk about education. America ranks 19th in high school graduations, but we're first in incarcerations. Everybody says they want more accountability in schools. About 80 percent of America says they support merit pay for the best teachers. Now, I don't want to hear your stump speech on education...
MCCAIN: Yes, yes, and find bad teachers another line of work. (APPLAUSE).
No questions yet. He interrupts Warren and answered two questions (and gave an elaboration) before Warren could even get around to asking them.
What were the questions Warren asked Obama again?
Question 1: Do you think better teachers should be paid better? McCain: yes
Question 2: They should be paid more than poor teachers? McCain: yes
McCain follow up: find bad teachers another line of work.
Watching the exchange on video is more demonstrative than a plain transcript. McStain obviously starting tuning Warren out while he remembered the Obama questions and jumped the gun by giving his rehearsed answers.

the guy likely took the last three days off to prepare for this thing. He looked ok in front of whats supposed to be his base. I am sure he had a nice nap followed by a red bull or something before he came onstage and he did OK.
Big deal. Doesn't change who he is nor the fact that he will look totally confused at many points going forward from here.
You aren't going to prove he cheated and short of that it looks like whining over a decent performance.
Mcsame talks a good game about God and DOSTROYING Evil... news at 11...

6. The damaging part is that he said it again. |
|
He could have gotten away with saying it at first, but the second time was just dumb and shows he is guilty of having the questions in advance. Is that real evidence?

9. the words McCoin could have played off here was 'merit pay' |
|
he didn't have to hear the rest as it is self explanatory.
i don't want to defend the p.o.s. but I find this one a bit weak.

12. Playing Devil's advocate... |
|
(Who else would advocate for McStain?! ;)) Warren did not ask questions but he prefaced with comments about accountability and merit pay. Damn rude not to let the guy ask the questions he wanted to ask and instead answer the questions you want.
Watching it live it struck me as pretty blatant.

10. This is really grasping at straws |

Any idiot, even McCain, when asked about merit pay, can see where this question is going. Pay the good teachers better than the bad ones.

11. That one raised my eyebrows, but he could have just said yes yes when he heard "merit pay" |
|
Sort of excited he knew what answer to give the audience on that one.

The video makes it more obvious than the transcript.
