It's going to be Al Gore...
Edited on Mon Aug-18-08 07:13 PM by PCIntern
OK OK...go ahead...but this is not flame bait - I have this really weird feeling...but I'll get over it...

But I've been saying it all along and it makes the most sense for everyone, including Al.

he's been 'vetted' and everything...

Remember , you heard it here first...

On edit; regulars will know that I've been posting this for a little over a month now due to something someone from D.C. mentioned to me...now I DIDN'T say that it was a certainty, it was that this person is positioned, shall we say, interestingly...

3. Nah, no way...
He has plainly said he is NOT interested.

Period.

Why on earth would he want to do that again?

If not (I haven't heard of any), you might be on to something.

"Keep hope alive"...

8. Better I should be dreaming of Evan Bayh?
Sophia Loren, despite her RW politics, is more like it. I could easily overlook those politics when I was young, BTW...

9. We should be so lucky
I don't find it likely that he'd want 8 more years as #2 after being elected to #1 (and having it stolen from him) but I guess it's not impossible. Guess the real question is what he could do from the office of Vice President to save the planet. Other than that, there's certainly no question of qualifications, and if any one person can unify this party, it would be President Gore.

17. Well...hate to say this but if you believe that Al Gore would play "second fiddle" to Obama a Jr.
Senator...then you must have a "thrill going somewhere up your pants." :eyes:

19. I think that depends (in part at least) on whether
they can both put country above ego.

What a team though if they could both just get to work. I am sure there is a great role for Gore whatever the vp pick.

18. An inspired pick
Encouraging. Reassuring. Hopeful. And the right thing to do- if Gore can be offered a role beyond attending funerals.

And a guaranteed win.

21. I agree 100%. Obama / Gore '08
My husband has been saying it'll be Gore for several months now, he's convinced me, lol.

Obama needs Gore. Gore has the gravitas plus the future-focus that fits in with Obama's message. It's a chance for Gore to put the world on the right energy path -- it's an opportunity/challenge he will accept.
