I wonder how Warren's credibility is now viewed by Evangelicals since the "civil" forum?
I honestly have read his books and at one time was involved in a progressive Baptist Church that was an affiliate of Saddleback. I, for one, am shocked that he has damaged his own credibility by LYING that McCain was safely sequestered in a "cone of silence" (or something to that effect) when he now admits that he KNEW that McCain wasn't there at the beginning of the broadcast. No one is so stupid to believe that McCain didn't cheat. And no one has yet asked the question: where WAS McCain, and why didn't he play by the rules?

Tossing my books by Warren, and I can't believe that I am the only one who now views him differently now.

2. Given your average rightwingnut evangelical, I imagine his standing has improved
He's proven that he's willing to lie in order to help a REpublican win an election, which is what rightwingnut evangelicals want from their preachers.

6. Most will continue to view him as the evangelical equivalent of Saint
Evangelicals don't give up their Icons very easily. Once you have told them how to live it takes a lot to fall from grace.
Even if convicted of a crime they would see him as a martyr

7. McCain ruined Warren's reputation to further his own goals and
Warren defends him.

I kind of feel sorry for the guy. What a tool.

10. BUT....Warren KNEW that McCain wasn't there and told the audience/viewers that he was safely
whatever in a cone of silence. Will somebody please tell me what the hell a "cone of silence" is?!? How is this different from a sound-proof room?

Has anyone from McLiar's camp indicated yet WHY he was late?

8. These people are used to be subjected to tom-foolery in the name of religion
or they wouldn't have steadfastly supported the criminal Bush and his cadre of corruption. They are the most gullible inhabitants of the universe and the least informed when it comes to REAL issues. The fact that they were lied to in the name of religion means nothing to them as long as abortion and gay marriage are among the topics they agree with the liar on.

And 1Hippiechik - I LOVE your avatar! Go Heels!
