8. DU is in a meltdown this morning
because in the Zogby (Republican) poll McCain has taken a lead. Get a grip people. We haven't even had our convention yet. Obama will get a bounce after the convention with or without Hillary as VP. All will be well for a few days and then McCain will get a bounce after the GOP convention and DU will go into a meltdown again all of this happening regardless of whether Hillary is the VP. Reading posts on here this morning you really get the impression there are a lot of DU folks who want Obama to lose. This is more disheartening to me than the results of an August Zogby poll.

19. Facts get in the way
I have worked on the Obama campaign, but I came to the realization he needs to pick Hillary or is in danger of letting the election slip away. The strategy was that if he were ahead by a healthy margin in the polls by the convention, he could pick any conservative candidate that would not have an impact either way. Now, it is too close and the fact is nearly 20% of Hillary supporters either won't back him - or would even back McCain. He needs to assuage and win over about 10% of those voters, the other 10% will not even vote for the ticket with Hillary. Plus, he can avoid any trouble at the convention. The pro-Hillary movement called P.U.M.A. (party unity my ass), is becoming formidable. There is a website called Confluence that will provide evidence of this phenomenon.

21. The PUMAs are so formidable they couldn't get a decent crowd at their
"convention". How much is Larry Johnson paying you?
