when mccain cries "pow" during the debates: "america doesn't need a president stuck in the past"
"some people like to go on and on about their glory days when they were young. some people think the way george bush and the republicans have run things in the past has worked well for them. i have a vision for the future and i want to lead america to a better place."

1. I plan on drinking a shot every time he says "POW" or "Hanoi Hilton"
That's the only way I can possibly endure the Rethug
freak show ...

3. Or remind him that it was "more then 30 years ago"
Just like his answer about dumping his disabled wife for a younger model.

4. I think you have a very good approach to the whole POW thing.
It really is as if he is asking us to make that period of time the central core of our national life. The "stuck in the past" idea is a way to talk about it without seeming to belittle his past experience.
