At first I was pissed then Tweety snuck one in at the end when he said, "I think Bush and Kerry should debate Kerry about Kerry's military records!"

7. I saw it & my take was that it was definitely a dig toward Dubya...

It goes without saying that if there was a one-on-one debate about Kerry's military record, then Dubya's record would be fair game for open discussion, too. I thought it was clever of Matthews to phrase it that way to Laura Ingram -- he softened the blow without sounding accusatory of the obvious.
