Dedicated to Joe Biden - Post a toast to what you like best about Joe
My 1000th post is dedicated to Joe Biden and all the hard work he has devoted to protecting women and children from abuse. In my opinion, Joe Biden is the only politician who has ever been genuinely interested in this subject at all.

So here's to you, Joe! :toast: It is my hope that every female in the United States aged 18 and older will register to vote. When women vote, Democrats win :D

6. That he stood by his family and his country
Going to the Senate to get us out of Viet Nam, yet standing by his sons after the tragic loss of his wife and daughter--and finding a way to balance national and family responsibilities.

7. I liked what he said about torture
and how he was afraid for our own soldiers - including his own son.

The wingnuts wailed and cried that if we didn't torture, other regimes still would. But they completely missed the point. We're not that country. We're better than that. It DOESN'T work.

17. Just to add to that....
Joe always seems to predict when things will happen, like he did right before 911.(biggest threat comes in the "belly of a plane", in a speech 2 days before...) Like he has on Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan....oh, and recently, the Georgia thing. I suppose he has missed a few times, but not very often....

14. He's a veritable verbal Muhammed Ali. Strong on labor--the best there is, really.
Responsible for the Violence Against Women act even before the issue was well-known.

He's got debt from sending his kids to college--I'm still paying off my student loans. He gets it.

16. what I like most about Joe at this moment in time is his value in supporting
our presidential elected candidate, he knows the game well, is prepared and will not back down...they are definitely running scared, it shows if your watching the msm coverage or even if your going surfing on the net, the gop trouble shooters are out in force...its so obvious to the point where honestly I am silently laughing at them, the only thing that keeps me from laughing out loud is that the voting irregularities have still yet to be fully investigated after soo soo long.....

What I like about Joe (among other things) is that he reaffirms this great message:

One House, One Spouse, Obama/Biden 08.
