5. This is the most exciting convention since 1960.

I was a teen then who watched with my parents, and when JFK was killed on my 17th birthday I entered adulthood with a sense of what wasn't. There has always been a bit of something missing in campaigns and conventions since those days.

What has been missing is the hope and the empowerment of we the people. I feel it again, it's there and it's real. I suppose it sounds hokey, but for those of us who witnessed the end of a very short era, the search for the rest of the story has always lingered in the background.

This is it. This is our time once more. We cannot let it slip away. Fight those lies and smears with all you've got. Don't let the dirty bastards continue to destroy our country and our tomorrows.
