This can't be the same Tweety I used to loathe
can it? What has happened to him? He appears to be on our side. Maybe McCain's codpiece is too small?

17. He wants to run as a Dem for Senator in PA
so he's setting himself up for that.

Or, he's come to Jesus with his triple illness bout.

Either way, much easier listening.

46. Yeah, I heard that too
sometimes he makes that hard to believe. I truly believe on his show he tries to play it down the middle which means occasionally relaying the repuke point of view. I think deep down he's a Democrat and I think he would be an asset if he ever ran as one. He's definitely been more fair to Barack than most of his colleagues on MSNBC.

And he sees the way the wind is blowing in either case.

Though old Tweety may be back at any time.

I think Tweety blows hot and cold.

his biggest gift is having instincts on the wind beyond what most MSMers do, so he usually is a step ahead. As noted, you CANNOT rely on him to be consistent with it.

He spent most of this century doing the republican's bidding by bashing all that is democrat - he pays for this with me in the in the primary. Though, I think he wins fairly easily in the primary.

5. McCain should do it...
For once, it would clearly draw accurate lines in the sand.

There is no Democrat party anymore. There is no Republican party any more.

There are neocon, warmongers who are following the PNAC dream--and turning this country into
a Fascist playground for the bloodsucking greed monsters who enjoy seeing our democracy and
civil rights swirl down the drain.

Both Republicans and Democrats belong to that group. Neocons don't just cluster in one party.
They've infiltrated both.

Then we've got the Progressives, who respect the Constitution and are appalled by has happened to
this country in the past eight years.

Do it, McCain! It's time the enemy clearly identified themselves--instead of continuing to
propagate this absurd Democrats vs. Republicans meme.

25. He said he thinks the question about how many houses McCain owns was really a
competency question. But he said this the other day, too, and it's in DEFENSE of McCain, saying it was to try to make him look like he may not be competent, because it's like asking someone who just came out of a coma what their name is. The problem with Matthews' assumption is that he's saying McCain should KNOW these things...but he DOESN'T!

undecided: I'm not sure
Tweety: What's your biggest concern about Mr. Obama?
undecided: Uh, I don't really have a concern about either candidate
Tweety: Who did you vote for last time?
undecided: Bush (lady behind her starts shaking her head sadly)
Tweety: who did you vote for in 96
undecided: (thinks..) I'm....I couldn't tell you. (lady behind her starts shaking her head even more)
Tweety: So are you a Republican?
undecided: No, I'm an independent (that gets some cheers)
Tweety: How do you think that the Republicans have handled things the last eight years?
undecided: Uh....some things....they haven't really...handled the best....(ok, visor lady looked REALLY pissed now)

38. Why does MSNBC keep Pat Buchanan a platform
to spew his "Love" for Hillary? All he is doing is trying his best to keep driving a wedge between Dems and help elect McCain. Pat needs to be on McCain's payroll instead of MSNBC-if he isn't already.

I really wanted to give Hardball a chance today since Chris has been less in love with McCain lately. But Pat needs to go-Now.
