On the money thing--and hell, on the being in office thing--if John McCain never cheated on his first wife, he'd never have had the capital or the connections to run for office--so really:

Cheating on his disabled first wife was the best thing he ever did.

Being a POW only made it--okay. Kind of acceptable, to be kept and groomed by his second wife's family and made into a political ATM for folks with money to get shit they needed done. Like all kinds of things since have been okay--like warmongering. Since by now he *obviously* has figured out how to win wars. And catch Bin Laden. Because he says so.
