11. True story

Back in the '80s I worked in my university's AV dept. We were setting up the mikes for the biannual Board of Trustees meeting and Brokaw was on the Board (as was Meese the Pig). In front of every Trustee was a pitcher of ice water. Except Brokaw. He gave special instructions that his pitcher was to be filled with ice cold vodka! I saw the caterer fill his pitcher with my own two eyes!
