I remember when conventions were actually broadcast without a monkey squad of nitwits
talking over the ENTIRE goings on in the background. They just use the convention as a background to talk about all the things that they think are important at the convention, without actually even showing it.

6. I've been streaming CSPAN for an hour. I can't believe these idiots on CNN and MSNBC
take themselves seriously. They are ridiculous!

Had to leave for a few minutes to pick up medicine and hope I didn't miss anything much. Dang this medicine that has to be taken no matter what!!! And picked up no matter what so it can be taken!!!

7. I remember those days too.
The only time an anchor or newsperson came in was during a lull, maybe to recap, and maybe to fill in some history, but never to be the show instead of the convention.

It used to be that the news divisions were considered a part of a necessary public service to maintain their licenses with the FCC.
