Gergen giving Michelle a rave review on CNN. |
|
Saying she rescued the evening for the Democrats.
And no one could ever accuse her of being elitist after the speech.
And she connected emotionally with the audience, even better than Barack at his rallies.
Earlier he'd been critical of the Dems for "frittering away" the evening -- this was before the Kennedy tribute and speech -- and I was so pleased to hear him praising her this way.
And God, did she deserve the praise. Brava, Michelle!!!

2. Gergen. Pardon me while I vomit. He doesn't deserve to speak the Obamas or Kennedys names. nt |

3. Gergen knows it's a convention, there are housekeeping chores to take care of. |
|
And the show slowly progresses to the climax.

4. Yeah I heard his bashing earlier... |

looks like he and Carville are reading from the same script.
At least he finally gave credit where credit was due.

7. The thing with him is he aqctually says what he really thinks |
|
Gergan is as centrist as they come but he's honest about it. I don't always agree with him but I almost never think he's just jerking our chains with some hidden agenda. It's refreshing actually to not always be sure what he will have to say. I don't mistake him for a progressive but I think he's basically an honest guy who is not automatically in anyone's pocket.

9. I agree. I just wish the networks had also carried the Kennedy tribute and his speech. |

8. He was a speechwriter after all. He knows a home run when he sees one. Glad he voiced it. /nt |
