Michelle Obama. They don't call her 'The Closer' for nothing. Game set match, people.

1. Won't happen. Just pray it's not Illinois's Governor or Daley

13. If the Mayor wanted to be Senator, he'd have been Senator long ago.
He's content with his Kingdom. Otherwise, he'd have already made himself Senator or Governor.

2. The First Lady actually has official schedules
Wouldn't be wise to also try to be a Senator. Jesse Jackson Jr. probably has the inside track to getting that seat.

4. She would be great, but there is a conflict of interest
as well as her having two daughters to care for.

6. Im hoping it's Jesse Jr and NOT Rham Emmanuel. Hopefully, this will be a real issue.
We gotta win first.

7. Under the standards of Illinois politics, it'll be Rahm Emmanuel
You heard it here first.

9. I think Rahm Emmanuel has expressed disinterest in the job
Probably because he might become Speaker of the House eventually if he stays there.

10. Nope, he must appear humble now so that he can be all
"the governor has made the call, and I must answer" when the time comes.

Blago knows this will be his only saving grace in Illinois politics.

12. Blago won't be the one making the choice.
That's not that works here. ;)

15. Wrong
Governor appoints. That's state law.

Blago would appoint a replacement to serve until January 3, 2011.

My personal choice would be Lisa Madigan, but Blago and Madigan are not on the best of terms.

16. I was correct. Blago does not get to make the choice.
He makes the appointment, but if he goes off of his leash and actually chooses who he appoints, that boy is in for a shitstorm.

He'll appoint exactly who he is told to appoint.

That choice is already being discussed, and no one has asked him for his opinion on the matter.

Love,
Well...You can call me "a source."
