Tweeety is on fire tonight
He just sacked down racist Buchannan saying, this is not the Christian night at the convention, Rick Warren isn't here, I burst out laughing.

3. Sure he is, in many ways.
But for saying that thing right, I give him credit.

4. No shit!
That is a bit of code to Catholics I think.

As my Mother (Catholic) would say, "don't you becoming into my house judging my choices and morality" (and being Irish Catholic she would usually add under her breath "you immoral SOB")

A huge distrust exists between Catholics and Fundies and I think he is playing it up.

5. Let's Retire Calling Him Tweety
my friend was down there and said to Chris Matthews, it's nice to see you healthy and back on your show and he said, I'm not healthy, I'm full of steroids.

He's a supporter of The Constitution, and pretty sure Obama. He was always against the war.

6. I tend to call him Tweety out of affection just like I use Joe for Biden and Barry for Barack.
First name basis is usually either a sign of disrespect or a sign of affection. It's very weird online because you can't hear the tone of voice to detect which usage that first name is for.

7. Fair Enough
I'm worried about his health - steroids suck big time on the immune system. I hope unlike those with asthma he can get off the steroids soon.

9. True. he should be home in a recliner
But this stuff is in his blood. I think he's playing with fire even if he's on a very short course.

He's not someone I respect for several reasons but he's giving it his all. Hopefully he's going to take off between conventions and hit the Lazy Boy for a week of r&r.

12. Yeah, he seems more manic than usual-- like he's way too hyper all the time. Y'know?
I mean, I know why he wouldn't want to miss this but suffering from a bout of pneumonia is pretty serious... and it sounds like he's still affected by it too. So he really should rest.

8. Agreed. He's a known Democrat and clearly likes our nominee a lot. And as you said, he opposed the
war.

10. Democrats are much more forgiving than republicans
That is part of who we are (well most of us anyway). Matthews has been very impressive tonight.

11. he was very good tonight, what can i say?
i think the bullshit just got too deep after the "whacko" nutjob saying she won't tell him what the investigation is that determined Obama is a Muslim. :eyes:

anyone notice Rachel had a cheering section? i noticed they cheered whenever she spoke. and the best part of their cheering was that it made Buchanan harder to hear. :applause:
