THE TEST for Hillary: Can she cut-down McCain the way she did Obama
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 11:12 AM by Sensitivity
I am not interested in how motivational or inspiring her speach is. I will cheer her if she passes this test.

The McCain political hit men have found the Obama’s weak spot and he is bleeding. Their sharpest blade has been Hillary Clinton’s insidious attacks during the Primaries which make Obama out to be the “empty suit,” “ just a speach,” and as telegraphed by her girl Geraldine , really a “lucky” affirmiative action pretender to the Presidency.

So Hillary knows how to do negative campaigning. So let us see her go after Republican McCain with some of the same relish with which she went after Democrat Obama during the primaries.

The fact that the McCain campaign has so embraced her in their SMEAR Ads gives her credibility to tell the world the TRUTH ABOUT JOHN MCCAIN

She may look two-faced after all the McCain love during the primaries – but that’s OK, she is a big girl.

If she does not find the way to make McCain distastefull and unpalatable, I for one will conclude that she is looking to 2012 and wants Obama to loose.

Folks, Barack’s favorables will go up after the DNC Convention/Lovefest. But that was never in doubt.

The question is whether McCain’s numbers will go down. THAT SHOULD BE BILL AND HILLARY’S JOB.

3. It's the entire party's job to take down McCain.
That is, unless people want McCain to win.

Because if someone doesn't knock the old bastard down, he's going to win.

68. the Clintons have a lot of media clout
and were the ones who made the most effective attacks on our nominee.
no hard feelings, it was what they were supposed to do, it was a primary.

but now they need to de-program those attacks,
since we're talking about their very own attacks, they are the best to do this.

part of being the party's big dogs is taking on big responsibility to trouble-shoot anything and everything that comes along that might hurt the party.

I know they can do it.

What we need now is the UNDERMINING OF JOHN MCCAIN.

Can they do it? If not what are they doing taking some of the most important prime-time speaking slots for the whole campaign season.

You are, either deliberately or for some other reason being completely oblivious not only to what you are reading, but to what you are writing. Your hatred has overwhelmed your ability to be objective and to focus on the things that really matter. It will do neither of us any good to go further with this as long as you are so obsessed with hating.

36. The trouble is,
anything she says against McCain now will have no effect, after all the praise she gave him during her campaign. She will just look self-serving and hypocritical. Same thing with anything good she says about Obama, after all the trash talk she indulged in against him.

This is exactly why so many of us were so furious with her six months ago. It was clear then that the McCain campaign would use everything she was saying to their advantage, and they have, and will conitnue to do so. If she nows turns around and contradicts herself, they will use that too.

Further, we all said that by continuing her campaign long after it was lost, she was creating a large group of bitter, disaffected supporters who would create big problems at the convention and after. And so it has proven.

How anyone can still say she should have been the candidate after all these mistakes, after everything she has done to harm our chances in November, is completely beyond me. For the Republicans, she is the gift that keeps on giving.

She should NOT have been allowed to give a speech, and the roll call vote with her name in nomination is a disastrous mistake. The media are turning the convention into the Hillary Show, again, just as predicted.

I can't bring myuself to watch her tonight. Luckily, I have to work anyway.

Anyone who would vote for McCain, or enable McCain by not voting for Obama in November, does not and never did support the ideals and values that Senator Clinton stands for. I don't expect to hear her say FUCK YOU, PUMAS! in her speech, but I hope that sentiment is clearly enunciated.

will make it harder for McCain, and the media to spin as freely as they have been.

The Clintons will have live, unedited opportunities to either slap McCain on the wrist or slam him upside a brick wall.

A slap on the wrist would sound something like "John McCain is offering the same failed policies as Bush. We don't need four more years of George W. Bush"

A slam upside the wall would sound more like Biden's kitchen table(s) reference.

I'm looking for them to make statements that would force McCain to have to stop running those ads or else he'd look ridiculous.
