We need a "Let it Sink" campaign for all these intentionally disruptive threads
Edited on Tue Aug-26-08 02:46 PM by Teaser
LIS worked pretty well for a while earlier this spring.

We are seeing, more and more, threads dropped like bombs into GDP, trying to set off as much rage as possible.
Some of the rage may even be justified. Yes, Bill Clinton doesn't know when to close his mouth. Yes, polls are always a concern.

But, there is a distinction between posts made in good faith disagreement and posts that are intentionally inflammatory. And most of us know when one is the former and one is the latter.

With this in mind, we kinda, sorta really have to start exercising some discretion here. Some threads need to get SUNK.

Thoughts?

News Flash! You're not and you can't. But if you insist, there are meds that treat paranoia.

4. Wouldn't it be fun to have a reverse "greatest" button?
Like after 5 "loser" votes the post gets moved to a special forum for posts that are little more than troll bait. I'd almost be willing to bet that after a few days we'd notice a pattern of who posts what. :eyes:

5. Alert but don't reply. Fast track 'em to page 4 (which can happen in 20 minutes in GD/P).
