See, this is the problem...
http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/08/26/america/assess.php?page=1

Article talks about the strain between the Obama and Kennedys with the Clintons, but what really steams my hide is this quote from Carville:

"This is hard, hard in the most human kind of way, there's no doubt about it," said James Carville, a friend and longtime political adviser to the Clintons. "Someday the Clintons and Obama may become good friends. For now, this is a hard, human process - making room on the stage for everyone."

It is Obama's turn on the stage - I dont see the Kennedys demanding stage time, they are supporting the nominee. The Clintons should do the same.

10. Don't blame his wife. They're in it together.
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments.
Shakespeare - Sonnet CXVI

I find it kinda creepy, myself, how "Uncle Duke" and his wife have insinuated themselves into Dem politics despite their clearly malicious intent. They make $millions$ scumsucking US politics and rarely get called on it, tho' they've penetrated the inner circles of the Dem political machine.

2. Anyone who thinks otherwise should read Bill's 2004 speech. It was 98% about HIM. 1% about JK.
And 1% about Edwards. And he had ZERO to say about Kerry's actual record of service in the senate, though he knew damn well that Kerry knew more about terrorism and the funding of their global networks than any lawmaker in DC - but, since Clinton has been close with BCCI thugs like GHWBush, Jackson Stephens, Dubai and Saudi royals, he SIDED with them and their secrecy and had no intention of the American people relating expertise on the terror issue with Kerry.

Al Gore DID bring it up in his speech, and Kerry referred to it as background, but Clinton had the cache of being president and having the American people heed his word back then - 3 years after 9-11 - knowing that terrorism would be on every voters mind.

4. You guys really need to move past your Clinton obsession................
"I dont see the Kennedys demanding stage time, they are supporting the nominee." That's because most new Democrats under age 40 don't know who the Kennedys are. But they do remember the '90s and the Clintons.

6. WTF? I'm under 40 and I know who the Kennedys are.
In fact, the Kennedy family are ICONS...JFK, Bobby, Jackie O, Ted, Caroline! ICONS! People all over the world still have JFKs picture hanging on their walls. The Clintons are politicians from Arkansas.

Of course you know who the Kennedys are because you were conscientious and read newspapers and history books, etc.

But a lot of people aren't as conscientious as you and all they know about the Kennedys is the more recent history of the alleged rapist William Kennedy Smith and JFK, Jr and his wife dying in that small plane crash.

I'm not calling anyone stupid, but I also know that history hasn't been real high on the list of priorities for teachers for several years......

No offense was intended to any of us DUers under 40.

8. Under 40 != Stupid
I too am under 40 and I know who the Kennedys are. Now I may not get the whole camalot thing, frankly I've always attributed that to me being the child of immigrants but I paid attention in history class and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

So now the under 40 people are stupid or something? Sheesh!

Regards

9. Hillary speaks tonight.
I'm going to wait and see how this goes. She can end all this foolishness once and for all. The ball is in her court, lets wait and see what she does with it.

12. I think she will do a marvelous job. She knows what is at stake.
I was highly critical of the Clintons during the spring. And I would by lying if I said I have no reservations at all. But, she is a very smart woman and most importantly she is one of our own.

So I just think it is time to close ranks and not let the media keep this nonsense going. They love nothing more than to stir up trouble about Hillary and Bill. They love the drama and basically reporters have just gotten lazy, always going for the easy stuff.

Anyway, somewhere along the road I decided that if I expect former Hillary supporters to be supportive of the nominee, then I should get my own house in order. I can live with myself a lot better if I am a trusting and positive person.
