OBAMA CAMPAIGN NEEDS US THIS WEEKEND

We can win this election IF we get a lot of unregistered voters to register. This weekend is a big goal for the campaign to get people registered before the cut off.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

call your local Democratic HQ or the Obama campaign and put in a few hours this weekend. You can do it at the park even while you hang out with your family. If you can't do that, you can phone bank to recruit people who CAN.

Pennsylvania campaigners are shooting for 72000 phone calls statewide Friday to 'celebrate' McCain's 72nd.

2. Also check Obama's site for local canvassing/organizing events

Several are scheduled for Saturday. Residents and locals to meet and plan to organize, followed by all out neighborhood canvassing in the following days/weeks.

when canvassing or just talking to friends or acquaintances who are for McCain or up in the air:

Focus first and foremost on convincing them to vote, not convincing them to vote for Obama. For example, "Yes, I support Obama, but what I care about most is that you vote. You deserve to get a vote in what happens in this country, and we need every single vote for our democracy."

After that, they are more likely to listen, especially if you point out that Obama wants everyone to vote.

But even just convinving them to vote at all helps us. Why? Because Democrats win when more people vote.
