For all of those complaining about the boring speeches, you gotta remember
that the hours that really count are from 8-10 EST because that is when the major speeches begin and network Television will begin to broacast; The big speeches will be the Keynote Address by Mark Warner and then Sen. Clinton's speech. Many people who are speaking earlier are party leaders who may not be electrifying speakers which is why they are getting earlier, less viewed time slots.

1. Exactly
You can't have people getting enervated from a bunch of barn burner speeches early on. There's be no electricity left for the main events of the evening......

2. Fair enough.
It just seems to me that this is a once-every-four-years event. We could probably find enough competent speakers to fill the time.

4. If the CW is correct, it should get better...
...I'm watching and waiting.

Again, though...why can't we come up with 3 days of wall-to-wall decent speakers?

5. The MSM is biased reporting, true, but the entire convention is for Dems at the convention.
They need to unify, get excited, learn the issues, have meetings, then get ready for non-stop work through Nov. What feels like an eternity and at least some coverage, because it was the primaries, now we're losing some points because we are not advertising as much or getting only negative exposure.

Just like in 2004, only worse, we need to go with local coverage, with our candidates, surrogates, and more than we had last time on the stump. No more waiting for the next time.

6. So then, why wasn't Dennis Kucinich in prime time?
He had the best speech of the day. So far anyway (spoken diplomatically  )
