even though I'm from CO. Still, I could give it a try.

Back in 2004 even as it was obvious that Bush would carry Colorado, it was obvious to me that Salazar would win the Senate race over Bush clone Pete Coors. Why? Salazar rocked the bolo tie *and* the cowboy hat and out-cowboyed Mr. Beer. Even the TV ads were great. They started showing Salazar driving through rural areas in his old truck (which was the only car he had) and then jumped inside and filmed him from the passenger seat, like the viewer was riding in the truck with the candidate. Salazar then proceeded to cruise along and talk about how he grew up in a family of 8 in a house with no electricity... Coors had nothing on that image.
