1. As Al Gore learned, it is a 50 state election and not a national popular vote contest.
National polls mean little.

4. That seems strange since it is a very simple and straightforward fact.
I don't know why anyone would dispute that. I live in Wisconsin and even Republicans I know do not believe that McCain has a chance to be elected no matter what the national polls may say.
