Little Luke made was-- the 1st night of the convention he brought up a skewed negative Repiglican poll which showed Obama behind. Why do that at the DNC? Is he trying to be edgy?

have some kind of job in a small, local station or in radio or a newspaper...they don't get to go to the big leagues the day they graduate...even the spokesmodels on fauxnews have some kind of preparatory experience...it's really unfair to him to allow him out there into a situation he's clearly not ready for...i would imagine even his father would say 'you're not ready'...

14. Yes. An odd parallel, but |
|
years ago Julian Lennon did a big ticket concert and apparently was just awful, for the same reason...never cut his teeth in small clubs, what have you, paid dues, made mistakes, developed as a performer, etc...
But for his father...<moment of silence>...he never would have gotten that forum.
It's unfortunate.

I know a guy who literally started out in Peoria. (It helped he was born there, at least.)
And most start out at salaries that would make even a 7-11 worker cringe in sympathy.

Most college grads need experience and this job is a temp job for the conventions, according to NBC.
Give him a break. I'm sure you sucked at your job when you were new too.

17. I got the fix for Luke. |
|
If he wants to stick with broadcasting, he has to learn his trade. He needs to be taken under the wing of some old, crusty, smoke-smellin', hard-drinkin', nasty-mouthed news dog and learn how to perform his craft. That isn't accomplished on a national feed for your first gig. That is accomplished by covering planning board and school board meetings, traffic accidents and local elections. By stinking up the place in a small venue, until you learn the hard lessons, stop stinking up the place and then moving up to bigger markets and beats.
The lucky sperm club will only get you in the door. It won't give you a clue.

He is NEW and this is his first 'real' job at a convention
and he's a floor runner for the youth.
I'm sure he's exhausted and nervous. Give him a chance.

27. Just compare him to his colleagues. |
|
He's terrible. That's clear to anyone who's watched his performances. Should've started off with a small outfit and learned the ropes instead of trading on his last name. Almost all of the journalists/broadcasters at MSNBC started off small and worked their way up. There's a very good reason for that and it's obvious why in comparing him to his colleagues.
